Ace Combat 2 is a semi-realistic combat flight simulation game made by Namco for the PlayStation game console. It is the company's second console offering in the Ace Combat series and continues the arcade style gameplay of the first game Air Combat, with major improvements.In 2005 Namco re-released Ace Combat 2 as part of the NamCollection for the PlayStation 2 to celebrate the publisher's 50th anniversary.

Ace Combat 3: Electrosphere (エースコンバット３ エレクトロスフィア, Ēsu Conbatto San Erekutorosufia) is a flight simulation game made by Namco for the PlayStation game console. The third installment in the Ace Combat series of console flight simulation games, Electrosphere takes the contemporary setting of the first two games into a story set in the mid-21st century, involving a war between multinational corporations.The game is notable for having two radically different releases for the Japanese and Western markets. The Japanese version of Ace Combat 3 released in 1999 featured a lengthy 2-disc campaign of 52 missions that were split among different paths depending on in-mission decisions, along with multiple endings and multiple factions for the player to join. It also featured fully voiced anime cut-scenes, along with in-game radio chatter.The international version of Ace Combat 3 was released in 2000. While nothing was changed from the overall gameplay, its campaign was stripped down to a 1-disc 36 mission campaign with no branching paths. English voice acting was planned and started recording in the early stages, but Namco cut the funding for the translation efforts. While Namco never officially explained why this occurred, many speculated it was due to sales being lower than expected for the Japanese release, along with the impending release of the PlayStation 2. To accommodate for the Japanese plot not being translated, all story related voice acting and cut-scenes were removed, along with the plot being rewritten to a more basic story with no voice acting. While the international version still received critical acclaim for its gameplay and graphics, the decision to remove most of the plot was heavily criticized by Western critics and gamers, since Namco initially advertised that the Western release would featured all the content seen in Japanese version.

Alundra 2: A New Legend Begins (アランドラ2 魔進化の謎 Arandora 2 Ma Shinka no Nazo, Alundra 2: The Mystery of Magic Evolution) is an action role-playing game developed by Matrix Software for the Sony PlayStation. It was published by SCEI in Japan and Activision worldwide.Unlike its predecessor, Alundra, Alundra 2 features a 3D look which opens up a new world of puzzles. Also, despite its title, Alundra 2 is a standalone sequel, and has no ties with the original. It has a whole new story with a different set of characters, including the main character, Flint. Compared to the darker storyline of Alundra, Alundra 2 has a more light-hearted storyline.

Ballblazer Champions is an action/sports video game released for Sony's PlayStation console. It was developed by Factor 5 and published by LucasArts in North America, and CTO SpA in Europe. It was released on March 31, 1997 in North America and in October 1997 in Europe. It is a remake of the 1984 video game Ballblazer that was released for the Commodore 64 and Atari 800 computers. The game takes place on an asteroid where an intergalactic BallBlazer competition is taking place, featuring creatures coming from throughout the galaxy. Players travel around a rink in spaceships, called "rotofoils", consisting of various weaponry, similar to the 1975 film Rollerball. The object is to score goals by moving glowing balls with the rotofoil.[3] At the same time, opponents use their weapons to prevent goals from being scored.[4]The game received mixed ratings from reviewers. Adam Douglas from IGN rated the game with a 6 out of 10, saying that it "offers a nostalgic update" but tells everyone else to "stick to normal sports". Trent Ward from GameSpot gave the game an 86 out of 100, praising the game for its graphics and feel and adding that "it's obvious that LucasArts has devoted some serious time to making a conversion title that takes full advantage of the PlayStation high-speed graphics engine". He adds that the play controls take a little getting used to, while the game's sound is "solid, but never really inspired". Ward's biggest praise about the game was with the multiplayer mode, which he says adds to the game's replay value.[4] The game was named the Best Multi-Player Game of the Year in PSExtreme Magazine's 1997 Extreme Awards. Other reviews, such as from Game Players and Edge magazines, criticized the gameplay, which they say has not updated from the 1985 version of Ballblazer, giving the game ratings of 69 and 60 out of 100, respectively.
